Alpha Chi Omega Scholars Fund
The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation is a pillar of support, uniquely positioned as a resource our sisters can turn to for financial assistance as they face the rising costs of quality education.
In 2009, the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation received a donation with the direction to set up the Alpha Chi Omega Scholars Fund – a fund designed to award scholarships to undergraduate and graduate members, and to provide further support to increase scholarship award amounts when needed.
Since 2009-10, the average published tuition and fees have grown dramatically. According to the College Board:
- Private four-year institutions rose by 18.72%, from $29,260 (in 2017 dollars) to $34,740
- Public two-year colleges rose by 24.00% from $8,040 to $9,970
- Public four-year institutions rose by 22.26% from $2,920 to $3,570
Did You Know?
When you invest in Alpha Chi Omega scholarships, you strengthen our ability to respond to the needs of women in higher education. You strengthen the legacy of Alpha Chi Omega. And you inspire sisters to give back to support each other’s pursuit of education and achievement.
In 2015-16, $246,058 in scholarships and grants were awarded to 155 undergraduates and 37 graduate students. 100% of recipients held leadership roles in their chapters, and 93% of recipients were involved in three or more campus and community organizations/activities outside of Alpha Chi Omega.
Our goal is to raise $5,000. Please help us reach our goal by donating today! It is our hope that one day, no Alpha Chi Omega will have to make the choice between paying her tuition or paying her membership dues, or have to give up her dream of graduate study because she already bears a heavy burden of student loans.
